The Sandbox is an NHS-funded service to support children and young people in South Staffordshire and Hertfordshire with their mental health and well-being.
In addition to providing NHS-funded support, The Sandbox is a central place for resources about common mental health issues, with information on how to access additional support or emergency services.

We provide resources to help those who look after CYP.
For professionals
We provide free materials to support those who work with CYP.
Who Is The Sandbox For?
The Sandbox is for Children and Young People struggling with their mental health. This service is available for anyone registered with a GP in either South Staffordshire or Hertfordshire.
We are an online only service so are not suitable for certain more severe mental health issues or for people who are in crisis.
You can find out where to get help if you are in a crisis here.
We have partnered with accessiBe to provide you with accessibility functions. You can access these functions by clicking on the blue accessibility button in the button left corner.

South Staffordshire
Anyone aged between 5-18 can sign up for The Sandbox in South Staffordshire.
• Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
• North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust
• Hertfordshire County Council / Integrated Healthcare Commissioning
• Suffolk and North East Essex NHS Foundation Trust
• Bedford Borough Council
If you are based within one of these areas you may be able to rapidly commission or request Sandbox services such as waiting list support for your CYP.
If you are based outside these areas we'd be happy to talk about how The Sandbox can provide needs-based early help support in your area!

How Do I Sign Up?
If you want additional online support for your mental health, The Sandbox offers an assessment for NHS funded online therapy.
Click the 'Complete Assessment' button below.
Our care team will review your assessment and get back to you within 24 hours (Monday to Friday). There is no need to email us unless we have not gotten back to you after 24 hours has passed.
Depending on the results of your assessment, you may be offered an online CBT course or one-to-one online therapy.
It may be helpful to prepare some information before completing the assessment!

If you are a mental health professional and would like to refer a child or young person, please let us know by emailing sandbox@mindler.co.uk
If you are under 12 years old, you should complete the assessment with the help of a parent, guardian, or adult you trust.
